Major Nutritional Mistakes
Proper nutrition is a very broad concept that includes many aspects. It is well known that nutrition is one of the main elements of a healthy lifestyle.
Health and life expectancy of a person depends on the quality of food. So, in the daily menu should be fresh fruits and vegetables (at least 50% of the diet), a sufficient amount of fats, proteins and carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals, and the most wholesome food – unprocessed plant foods. But there are a number of errors and misconceptions that are often forgotten.
Product Combination
You must remember the correct and balanced combination of products. The most important is the rule of one food species. This is one type of fat, protein or starch in one meal. For example, it is not recommend consuming two different proteins at the same time: fish and milk, eggs and fish.
But fruits do not combine with anything, they must be consumed separately from other products. It is recommended to use them on an empty stomach, so fresh fruit for breakfast is ideal. Or an hour before the main meal, as the fruits are quickly absorbed.
Super foods
Many nutritionists and experts even call this term a marketing ploy, because we are talking about herbal products that have a number of useful properties that have been known for a long time. But remember that superfoods cannot replace ordinary food, and more often serve only as a food supplement, and moreover, as an expensive one. Superfoods can often find an equivalent substitute among local products.
Water
It is imperative to maintain a water balance. Eight glasses of water per day is considered the average norm, but it is worth considering the individual characteristics of the body, body constitution, level of physical activity and lifestyle.
Nutritionists advise drinking a glass of lemon water in the morning on an empty stomach, as well as a glass of clean water (room temperature) 15 minutes before each meal.
Healthy sweets and snacks
Do not abuse the so-called healthy sweets. One of the misconceptions is the decision to replace sweets with healthy snacks: dried fruits and nuts. Yes, this is useful, but do not forget that at the same time it is very high in calories. For example, a handful of walnuts contains 196 calories (30 grams), and the same amount of dates – 80 kilocalories.
Physical activity
Physical activity is no less important than proper nutrition. Choose for yourself such exercises and trainings, which, first of all, will bring pleasure, they should not harm health and well-being. It can be yoga, running, stretching, or just walking.
For example, it has been scientifically proven that running has a beneficial effect on the entire human body: those who exercise regularly slow down the aging process. Running burns calories, strengthens muscles and helps control weight. In addition, it does not require complex equipment, and has no restrictions.
