Keto: the most effective diet in the world

Experts of the world famous Harvard University concluded that the keto diet is the most effective weight loss system.

The diet is based on the almost complete exclusion of carbohydrates from the ration. The diet should consist of 20% protein, 75% fat and only 5% carbohydrates. Sweets and starchy foods are strictly prohibited.

The diet is designed in such a way that a person loses precisely fat, and not muscle mass, as it is often the case with other diets. This result is determined by the fact that internal organs actively take energy from fats.

Allowed Products:

  • Fish
  • Meat
  • Eggs
  • Seafood
  • Low-fat dairy products
  • Nuts (no more than 30g per day)
  • Fruits (apples, berries, grapefruits, oranges)
  • Vegetables (green salad, spinach, radishes, cucumbers, zucchini and cabbage)

Prohibited foods with a keto diet:

  • Bakery products
  • Confectionery
  • Sugar
  • Cereals
  • Vegetables high in carbohydrates (potatoes, sweet potato, corn, onions, garlic)
  • Sweet fruits (bananas, grapes, mangoes, persimmons)
  • Sparkling water

Sample menu for a keto diet:

  • Breakfast: coffee + tablespoon of olive oil; three eggs (in any form) with spinach or zucchini.
  • Lunch: green salad with avocado and hard cheese seasoned with olive oil; lean meat.
  • Snack: nuts, avocados or celery.
  • Dinner: salmon, chicken or beef; vegetables seasoned with olive oil.

Lunch should be taken after 3 hours after breakfast; between meals you can have a snack, and supper – at least 3 hours before bedtime.
