Victoria Beckham’s Productivity Rules
Designer, businesswoman, mother of four, and one of the most influential women of our time, Victoria Beckham inspires many people around the world.
How does she manage to do it all while staying efficient? In her interviews, Victoria has repeatedly shared her personal productivity rules.
Victoria believes that you can achieve anything if you work hard, but according to her, “a lot depends on the ability to manage time and having a good team.”
Top 5 Productivity Rules of Victoria Beckham:
Start the Day Right
The main condition for achieving goals is getting up early.
“I get up around 6 a.m. and spend an hour at the gym before the kids wake up. Physical activity gives my body enough ‘fuel’ for the whole day. Then I prepare breakfast for the children, and David and I take them to school. From the moment I start working, things come in an endless stream,” Victoria shared in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
Do What You Love
Victoria loves what she does and wants to be the best at it.
“I’m a bit obsessed with control. I love what I do, and I always want to be the best—whether it’s creating a collection and organizing a show or being a mom and wife,” Victoria admitted.
“I feel creatively fulfilled, and that reflects in my behavior and clothes. When I look back at my past self—how I dressed and behaved—I realize it was probably a sign of my insecurity. Now, I feel quite confident,” she said in an interview with British Elle.
Create Personal Comfort
Victoria creates clothes that women can feel comfortable in any situation and focuses on her own comfort.
“I’m involved in everything. I wanted to create beautiful and high-quality clothes that I would wear myself. Then I wanted to create handbags because I couldn’t find the right everyday model. Later, I couldn’t find perfect sunglasses, so I decided to launch my own collection,” the designer admitted.
“It’s not about me, but about what I create for other women. When I had a public event, I often told myself: ‘Watch what you eat at lunch because you’re wearing a tight dress—you need a flat stomach.’ Who cares about these things now? I’m too busy. I’ve grown older, and these things no longer bother me,” Beckham said in an interview with Vogue.
Be Positive and Grateful
Beckham admits that positive thinking saves her from stress.
“I believe this element is very important. It’s about creative visualization and challenging yourself, but only in a positive way. There’s nothing wrong with that little voice on your shoulder reminding you how important it is to stay humble, grateful for everything you have, and for what you’ve achieved,” Victoria believes.
Growth
The designer never stops at what she has achieved; she learns from her mistakes, changes business strategies, and works on developing her business.
“For me, competition is comparing myself to who I was last season. I will never say: ‘Look at what I’ve achieved!’ Honestly, I did this because I had to. I always strive to be the best version of myself,” says the businesswoman.
“There have been wonderful moments on my path—winning awards, good sales—but for me, achieving success is one thing, and maintaining it is quite another. I’m always with my head down over my desk, focused on the next task,” Victoria shares.
