Detox Means Preventing Diseases of the Future
Have you noticed to what extent technology has made our lives better? And yet, it is invariably taking a toll on our health. So can we strike the right balance in the 21st century, staying healthy while living in a big city?
Advice from the candidate of medical sciences Alexey Bashkirtsev

Industry deserves a great deal of credit, in particular for all the heavy metals and chemicals that we inhale and drink daily. Cadmium, lead, mercury, aluminum and arsenic wastes, pesticides and herbicides – all of these may look like terms out of some distant Chemistry class to us. However, they cause diseases that sound much more familiar: cancer, Alzheimer’s, gout, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, asthma, ADD, and what have you.
Just imagine how many toxins we get just from being outside, but there’s more: bad news is that doctors only begin treatment in an emergency, in acute chemical poisoning cases, which occur quite rarely.
Meanwhile, people are mostly clueless that we continue to live amid chemical industry waste. The toxins build up in our bodies, overload our detoxification system, and cause new diseases.
While the body is young (around 37 years old), it tries to clean itself of toxins on its own. Nevertheless, as we grow older, our defense mechanisms get weaker, and the number of toxins increases, along with the diseases they cause.
An early symptom seems rather harmless – most commonly, it is a feeling of chronic discomfort for no apparent reason, which can be triggered by literally anything: alcohol, coffee, a cigarette, or a common fatigue. In other words, by any part of our daily routines.
People have referred to me with various health complaints, including allergies, hypersensitivity to chemicals, rampant chronic infectious diseases, headaches, dizzy spells, balance disorders, memory problems, shaking hands, infertility, and many more.
In the early stages of the detox system overload, there may be no clear signs of illness. However, any disease can be manifested through these symptoms.
For example, a cold will last longer and take a more acute form than usual. This is why you must make sure to eliminate toxins before the disease strikes, not after its devastating effects.
For this reason, I have created a checklist to help avoid the devastating effects:
- Know your enemy: find out which toxins are harmful to the body and where they are most often located.
- Ramp up detoxification, both on your own, as well as using help of a healthcare professional.
- Test your blood, hair, nails, and urine for heavy metals, even with provocative drugs
- Do not trust the advice of amateurs. An incorrect approach to detox may lead to serious consequences. For example, one of my patients wanted to cleanse his body of toxins on his own, using a non-dosed amount of a drug for the removal of heavy metals. As a result, his kidneys ended up permanently damaged.
Pay attention to what you eat and drink: a large quantity of toxic substances enters our body with water and food.
